Balouch Soumack 240 x 340 cm
A light grid full of little trees, with a touch of natural silk.
Qashqai nomads made this South Persian Balouch soumack, partly woven and partly knotted, from hand-spun wool, natural silk and vegetable dyes. The look is defined by a grid of small compartments with tree and flower motifs on an ivory field, with scattered motifs in the wide light border.
