This large South Persian Balouch soumack was partly woven and partly knotted by Qashqai nomads, from hand-spun wool with vegetable dyes. You see rows of small tree and flower motifs on an olive-green field, surrounded by a red border and a wide ochre-yellow outer border with scattered motifs.
