A Beni Ouarain, the Berber rug from the Moroccan Atlas Mountains. The black lines draw a regular diamond pattern across the whole field, never quite perfectly straight, as befits handwork. The high, thick wool pile on a wool foundation feels soft and full, and at the ends you can see the fringes. Calm enough for a sleek interior, warm enough for a cosy living room.
