This antique kilim was made around 1910 in South Iran by Qashqai nomads. Typical of this piece: a plain deep-red centre field, framed by serrated borders in ochre, cream and dark blue. A size for a seating area, study or bedroom. The calm centre field shows off the borders well. A kilim with history for a living room or study.
