A cheerful grid of little trees in red, ochre, green and blue.
This Shekarlou gabbeh comes from South Persia and is hand-knotted from hand-spun wool, dyed with vegetable dyes. On the natural sand-coloured field are rows of compartments with a stylised tree of life, each in its own colour. The mottled wool gives depth and the thick pile feels soft. Lovely by the front door, beside the bed or as a warm accent.
