This hand-knotted rug from Turkmenistan is made from hand-spun wool, coloured with vegetable dyes. The look is defined by rows of small guls on a deep-red field, framed by borders with geometric motifs. The gul is the traditional tribal emblem of Turkmen rugs. Lovely for a seating area, bedroom or workspace.
